Release Me

I’d fly away
If only I could
The chains you keep me in
Hold me down
What you don’t see
You pretend to know
And if you knew me
You’d set me free

Escaping to an endless paradise
Stake the mad images in my mind
For a long shot chance
To make it over the rainbow
I aim for

My only fence is what sets me free
Holding me down and locking me away isn't helping
You hide me away just to look down on me
And all I say and all I do
After all
I’m not human like you

So I rage at you and myself too
Wrong Pain Image Hate
Rail at my mental state
Just release me.
