You know, I often think of you and your influence on my life
Sometimes I feel as if you have betrayed me
As if you died and left me to live on alone
Do you hear me in bed at night?
Whispering into the darkness
Praying that my words reach your ears?
Just wondering

I know I shouldn't doubt you
And I don’t mean to nag
It’s been so long since I've spoken with you
Sometimes I can’t help but be angry
I feel that I’m meant for something more
What do you have in store for me?
Where do I go from here?
Just wondering

I want you to know I’ll follow you
Believe in you and live in you, always
Even in times of angry confusion
I will place my trust in you unquestioningly
And know that wherever I am is where I am supposed to be
For you are My God
Your finger has traced my path
Your voice is there to guide me
So long as I am willing to listen
