I Used To Know You
Who are you?
I used to know
Saw your shinning smile through the storm
And used it to guide me in times
When I was too far gone to see the light alone
Now we’re both blind
You used to listen to me ramble
And understand my backwards rhymes
Now you can’t hear me speaking
Talking loud, I’m not the type
So I’ll keep quiet till it’s time to scream your name
You’re not the same
Once the silver lining
The voice of reason on crying clouds
Now you’re searching for something I can’t see
Gone
Where’s the window you left open for me
So I could follow behind
You’re nowhere to be found
And I’m so alone
My friend she was glory
An innocent beauty
A perfect rose so sweet
But now she’s gone
She lives the night life
While I struggle to stand alone
I didn’t see her leaving
Before she was gone
And she left me behind.
