I Lean On You

No one ever said it would be easy
And I don’t claim to have the answers
To all the hidden truths
I guess when hard times make me weak
I’ll just lean on you

I never dreamed I’d have this kind of love
So simply blind
I never dreamed I’d hold you
And whisper
I’ll love you till the end of time

Sometimes I watch you sleep
While you’re so deep in the sublime
I see a smile spread across your face
As I kiss you softly goodnight
I close my eyes as I roll in bed beside you
And I lean on you till moonlight gives way to day

When the world’s problems fall heavy on my shoulders
My whole body seems to shake under the weight
I can’t contain the pain
And I fear I don't have the strength to carry on
I lean on you.
