Beyond This Sky

Blue eyes shine beyond this sky
A breeze blows him out of reach
A soul left behind
Discovers strength
And peace of mind
Just knowing that his pain has ceased

Don’t think his time here went unnoticed
For the man left behind
His blue eyes shining in the eyes of his sons

Blues eyes
A little out of reach
Beyond this cloudless sky we seek

Aching loss is like a burning fire
That leaves its scar behind
It’s not easy to leave loved ones behind
But have faith
He is always with you
A haunting light in his son's blue eyes

He's watching and waiting for the time
When you join him in eternity
And a rainbow spreads its arms across the horizon
A boat sets sail upon a lonely sea
The sun fades in the horizon
And there is an unspeakable moment of peace
And then you fall into blue eyes
That have been achingly out of reach.
