I miss the sound of your voice
But there’s nothing to say

Cause you fight so hard to prove

Why can’t you see?
What’s behind the lies?

You look right into my soul
I believe you really do see me

I felt emotion in your touch
A trembling hand, a second of hesitation
What are you so afraid of

I know you won’t believe me
But I am trustworthy
I will be the one to hold you
When you need it
And when those dark skies
Begin to make you feel alone
I’ll be the one to chase those fears away
I promise I’d never hurt you
I’m not that kind of person
I will always tell the truth
Even though it’s often stranger than lies

Look into my eyes
When you wrap your arms around me
Tell me what you see
That makes you stare at me

And if you finally decide
To push me from your life
I won’t walk away so easily
We talked so much now I can barely speak your name
